Frank August Case Study 08 Winter Wheated Reserve is an 8-year-old wheated Kentucky straight bourbon, reported at 54.4% ABV. It is the newest release in the brand's Case Study collection, a series of deliberately limited bottlings, and was launched in the autumn of 2026. Frank August is a Kentucky brand founded in 2022 by Johnathan Crocker, and this bourbon was bottled in Bardstown. Wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain after corn. Expect soft wheat sweetness, honey and vanilla, with toasted caramel and baking spice from the oak, and a long, warming finish.
