Frank August Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Frank August was founded in 2022 by Johnathan Crocker and sources Kentucky straight bourbon, which it blends in Bardstown.
Each batch is a vatting of 10 to 15 hand-selected barrels, bottled non-chill-filtered and without an age statement. The bottle itself is architectural and nearly label-free.
The nose shows caramel, vanilla, baking spices and toasted oak. The palate is bold and velvety, with toffee, cinnamon, clove, roasted nuts and ripe orchard fruit, and the long, warming finish brings charred oak, orange zest and vanilla bean.
