Frank August Small Batch is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, distilled and aged in Kentucky and bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is a permanent part of the range, alongside the Small Batch Straight Bourbon.
Each batch is blended from 10 to 15 barrels, and the label carries no batch number.
The nose opens with rye spice, then caramel, brown sugar, a hint of citrus and allspice. The palate is sweet, with brown sugar, caramel, graham cracker, raisin and a little leather, and the rye spice builds. The finish brings baking spices, cinnamon and peppery oak.
