A straight Kentucky rye whiskey from Frank August, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the brand's regular small batch rye, following an earlier tiny limited edition rye.
It is made from just 10 to 15 barrels.
The nose opens slowly with evergreen and herbal notes, then oak sweetness, peppery rye, nougat, chocolate, dill, pecan brittle and clove. The palate is dusty and rye-led, with dried citrus, stone fruit, savoury herbs and tobacco. The medium finish has soft pepper, dried mint, bitter orange and smouldering oak.
