Freeland Spirits – Bourbon (75cl)

This is a bourbon from Freeland Spirits in Oregon, named in tribute to the South and to Grandma Freeland, after whom the distillery is called. It is sold in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle. The whiskey matures in charred American oak barrels, then rests a final time in Pinot Noir barrels from Elk Cove, a step intended to bring a touch of Pacific Northwest character. Master Distiller Molly Troupe blended it for balanced texture and harmony of flavours. The character is soft caramel, vanilla and spice from the charred oak.
