This is a five-year-old straight bourbon from Frey Ranch in Nevada, bottled at 90 proof. The corn, rye, wheat and barley are all grown on the ranch, and the whiskey is malted, distilled, matured and bottled there too.
The four-grain mash bill is 66.6% non-GMO corn, 12% two-row malted barley, 11.4% winter rye and 10% soft white winter wheat.
Oak and citrus lead the nose, with honey and candied orange. On the palate come vanilla, caramel, dried mint, banana chips and dried hay, followed by a long finish of cedar, pepper and treacle.
