FUK 3 Year Old is a Japanese whisky made at the Benitomo Shuzo distillery in Kurume city, Fukuoka prefecture. It is distilled from barley rather than rice and has been aged for three years.
The distillery draws on water from the Chikugo river and barley grown in the surrounding fields. The name FUK is the abbreviation for Fukuoka International Airport, and the whisky was conceived as a travel expression.
