Fuyu Small Batch is a Japanese blended whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The name is the Japanese word for winter.
It was distilled on Honshu Island, near Kyoto, from a mash of 80% grain corn and 20% malted barley, then aged in American white oak barrels. Whisky from three distilleries is married together in the blend.
It pours a deep amber. The nose is floral with caramel and gentle spice, the palate brings oak and cooked orchard fruit, and the finish has a delicate wisp of smoke.
