G4 Throwback Reposado Tequila (75cl, 40%)

This is a reposado tequila from G4, made at Destilería El Pandillo in Jesús María, in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. It is made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown on the estate, double distilled in copper pot stills and verified additive-free. The tequila rests for three months in single-use American oak barrels and sherry casks. It is bottled under a replica of G4's original 2012 label, a nod to the brand's first years at the distillery, and is a limited edition at 40% vol in a 75cl bottle. The nose is warm cooked agave, green herbs and toasted oak. The palate begins with cooked agave, then vanilla, butterscotch and a gentle nuttiness from the sherry casks, with a mineral edge. The finish is smooth and warm, with cinnamon-tinged spice and oak.
