Gaja Barbaresco 2022 DOP (75cl)

Gaja Barbaresco 2022 is a red wine from the Piedmont house of Gaja, founded in 1859, made entirely from Nebbiolo grown in the village of Barbaresco. The grapes come from 14 estate vineyards at 250 to 330 metres, with very low yields of around 40 hl. Fermentation takes place in steel, followed by six months in barrique and a further 18 months in large oak botti. The nose is rich, with withered violet, wild berries, dog rose, liquorice, cocoa and clove, along with vanilla, cinnamon and graphite. The palate is both caressing and vigorous, with a velvety texture.
