A 2021 red Langhe from Gaja, blended half and half from Nebbiolo and Barbera. The Nebbiolo comes from the Sito Moresco vineyard at Pajoré near Treiso, which Angelo Gaja took over in 1979, and the Barbera from Gaja's own single-cru vineyards in the area.
The nose shows cherry and plum with violet and wild berries, and spice including saffron develops with air. The palate is juicy and powerful, with fruit sweetness balanced by dryness.
