A six-year-old Texas straight bourbon from Garrison Brothers, made in Hye, where the heat speeds the ageing. It is bottled in bond at 100 proof, or 50% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill combines local corn, estate-grown winter wheat and barley.
The nose is usually described as toasted marshmallow, caramelised sugar and vanilla bean. On the palate come dark chocolate, crème brûlée, honey and warm spices, with firm oak and a touch of leather. The finish brings oak, sweet tobacco and dry cocoa.
