Garrison Brothers – Cowboy Bourbon Whiskey 2026 (75cl, 70.5%)

This is the 12th annual Cowboy Bourbon from Garrison Brothers, the Hye, Texas distillery founded by Dan and Nancy Garrison in 2006. Master Distiller Donnis Todd hand-selects the barrels, which are aged for at least 6 years and include 8-year-old stock. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at cask strength, 70.5% ABV (141 proof), in a run of 16,000 bottles. The mash bill is 74% white corn, 15% soft red winter wheat and 11% malted barley, so wheat takes the place of rye. The nose and palate bring burnt wood and gun smoke, then dried stone fruit and caramelised sugar. The finish is warm and layered, with dried fruit and toasted marshmallow.
