Garrison Brothers HoneyDew is a honey-flavoured Texas bourbon, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It begins as Garrison Brothers Small Batch Bourbon, a wheated bourbon made in Hye, Texas Hill Country and aged for at least three years.
The honey comes in through the wood rather than being stirred in. Cubes of used bourbon-barrel wood are saturated with Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey and left in tanks of the bourbon for seven months, with no artificial flavours added.
The nose is described as elderberry syrup, wildflowers and pineapple upside-down cake. The palate is smooth and light, with plum jelly and vanilla, and the finish brings stewed apricots and white chocolate with a gentle honey close.
