Garrison Brothers – Oloroso Sherry Cask Finished Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon (75cl, 68%)

This is a Texas straight bourbon from Garrison Brothers, part of the Ranch Reserve series and bottled from a single barrel at cask strength. Proof varies by barrel, from 126 to 136 proof (63 to 68%), in a 750ml bottle. The whiskey spent four years in toasted and charred white American oak, then four more years in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain. It was distilled at the Garrison Brothers distillery in Hye, Texas. The notes run to roasted pecan, tobacco and dried fig, with a nutty, dry and elegant sherry character over rich, oak-driven bourbon.
