This is a single barrel, cask strength Texas straight bourbon from Garrison Brothers, part of its Ranch Reserve series. It is one of 13 Oloroso barrels set aside from the Ranch Reserve blending and bottled on their own, hand-selected by Master Distiller Donnis Todd, for an October 2026 release. The bourbon spends four years in toasted and charred new white American oak in the Texas Hill Country, then four more in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, eight years in all. Strength varies from barrel to barrel, between 124.6 and 136.7 proof, and it comes in a 75cl bottle. The nose is roasted pecan, walnut and baking spice over charred oak and leather. Tobacco, dried fig and dark cocoa follow on the palate, and the finish is long and nutty with a savoury spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
