A limited edition Texas straight bourbon from Garrison Brothers Distillery in Hye, Texas, bottled at 47% ABV. It follows the distillery's sweet-mash bourbon recipe, uses locally grown grains and is aged in new American white oak barrels under the Texas climate.
The bottle is sealed with hand-dipped wax in red, white and blue stripes, in honour of American service members and first responders. Some bottles were dipped by veterans and carry dog-tag styling.
The nose is corn sweetness with butterscotch, honey and caramel. The palate brings corn pudding, vanilla cream and toasted almond, then oak char, baking spice and dried fruit. The finish is long, with toasted oak, maple syrup and a touch of leather.
