Garrison Brothers Small Batch is a Texas straight bourbon at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the flagship of Garrison Brothers Distillery in Hye, founded in 2006 as the first legal whiskey distillery in Texas.
The mash of corn, soft red winter wheat and barley is aged for at least three years in American white oak under the Texas sun, which draws a darker, richer character from the barrels.
The nose is golden delicious apple and honey with floral verbena, fresh-cut grass, saddle leather and cinnamon. The palate brings honeysuckle and orange candy, yellow pound cake, baking spices, lemon gumdrops and sugar cookies. The finish is long, with smoky caramel apple, walnuts and cinnamon.
