Garrison Brothers Small Batch is a Texas straight bourbon bottled at 47% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It matures in new American oak barrels in the Texas heat, which the distillers say lets the bourbon draw plenty of flavour from the wood.
The nose has golden delicious apple, honey, floral verbena, fresh-cut grass and saddle leather, with butterscotch, nutmeg and vanilla. Honeysuckle, orange candy, yellow pound cake and baking spices show on the palate, and the long finish brings chocolate and espresso notes.
