A Nebbiolo from Nervi in Gattinara, in a 3000 ml Jeroboam. It is intense ruby tending to garnet with age. The nose brings faded rose, violet, forest fruit, delicate spice, vanilla, leather and tobacco. On the palate it balances Nebbiolo tannin with persistent freshness, with a long, slightly bitter finish. It suits rich dishes such as braised meats, roasts, game and aged cheeses. Serve at 18-20 C and decant for at least an hour if possible.
