Gentleman's Cut Player Exclusive José Andrés is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Spanish Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It was made with the humanitarian José Andrés and the basketball player Stephen Curry, and bottled at 53.5% ABV in a release of 800 bottles. The mash bill is 78% corn, 13% rye and 9% malted barley. A majority of proceeds go to World Central Kitchen, the food relief charity José Andrés founded.
The nose is toasted oak, dried figs and sherry sweetness. The palate brings dark caramel, spice, red fruit and nutty tones, and the finish is long and velvety, with gentle warmth and sherry-led fruit.
