George Dickel 9 Year Old Single Barrel is a Tennessee sour mash whisky bottled in 2016 at 51.5% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It comes from the distillery's private cask programme, which bottles individual barrels of nine and fourteen year old whisky for individuals. Each bottle is labelled by hand and signed by the master distiller. The Dickel story begins before the Civil War, when George A. Dickel emigrated to the United States and created the Cascade brand. The distillery was rebuilt in the 1960s, and the whisky took his name, spelled without an 'e' in keeping with Scottish tradition.
