This is George Dickel Superior No. 12 Brand, a Tennessee sour mash whisky bottled in 1992 at 43% in a one-litre bottle. George Dickel is made at Cascade Hollow, where distilling has taken place since the late 19th century. The modern distillery was built in 1958 by the Schenley company, and the first George Dickel Tennessee whiskey was sold in 1964. The No. 12 name was chosen after consumer studies found the number appealing. It has no connection to the age of the whisky.
