Repeal Reserve VII is a straight bourbon from George Remus, a 2023 limited edition made to mark 5 December 1933, the day Prohibition was repealed in the United States with the passage of the 21st Amendment.
The nose offers caramelised pecans and candied cherry, with a hint of plum and peppermint. On the palate there is rich caramel and candied raisin, then cinnamon and barrel char, with slight vanilla and brown sugar.
The finish brings intense cinnamon and peppermint spice, with lingering vanilla, caramel and oak.
