George Remus Straight Bourbon is a blend of high-rye bourbons, all aged for at least four years and bottled at 47% abv. It is named after George Remus, a lawyer turned bootlegger of the Prohibition era who oversaw many distilleries in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana during the 1920s.
The nose brings cherry, brown sugar, ripe summer berries and a touch of oak. On the palate there is cherry pie richness, vanilla and oaky spice, followed by a rye-heavy finish of spices, leather and more oak.
