Garennes is an Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs from Georges Laval, an organic house in Cumières in the Vallée de la Marne, run by Vincent Laval.
It is made entirely from Pinot Meunier, blended with reserve wines from 2011, 2013 and 2014. Both fermentation and ageing take place in wood, which gives the wine its roundness and substance.
The nose is floral, with fruit and a hint of citrus peel. The palate is medium-bodied and balanced, juicy and full, with a fresh finish that coats the palate.
