Giacomo Sperone Vermouth di Torino (75cl, 17%)

A Vermouth di Torino from Giacomo Sperone, made to an old family recipe handed down through the generations. It has an amber colour with golden glints. The nose opens with aromatic herbs, notably rosemary and marjoram, alongside red orange and clove, before softer vanilla notes appear. On the palate the sweetness is restrained and sits comfortably with the herbal and spicy notes. The texture is soft, held up by good acidity. It works as an aperitif served chilled, perhaps with a twist of lemon, or as a base for cocktails.
