A traditional liqueur from northern Italy, made by blending eggs, sugar, milk and alcohol. It has an intense, bright yellow colour and a creamy, enveloping texture. The nose shows vanilla with a light hint of spice. On the palate it is velvety and sweet, with the sweetness of eggs and sugar balanced by the softness of milk and the alcohol, which is never intrusive. The finish is long and pleasantly persistent, leaving a sense of warmth. It can be served on its own, slightly warmed, used in winter cocktails, or paired with desserts.
