Giarola Marsala Cremovo is a sweet fortified wine from the Marsala area of Sicily, in a one-litre bottle at 18% vol. It is made from Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia grapes, left to dry so the sugars concentrate. After fermentation the wine is fortified and matured in oak.
The colour is a deep amber. The nose brings candied fruit, chocolate and vanilla with honey and tobacco. The palate is velvety and rich, its sweetness balanced by a fresh liveliness. It is served at 12-14°C with cream desserts or dry pastries, and is also used in cooking.
