Giffard Crème de Cassis d'Anjou (70cl, 16%)

Giffard Crème de Cassis d'Anjou is a blackcurrant liqueur from France, bottled at 16% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is dark red with garnet-red tints, and suits cocktails such as the El Diablo. Crème de cassis must contain at least 15% alcohol and at least 400 grams of sugar per litre. The nose is lightly peppery and aromatically intense. On the palate it is slightly tart, with a strong blackcurrant character, and the fruit's bitterness is subtle at the end.
