This is a peated single malt from Glasgow Distillery, bottled from cask 17/803 for the 25th anniversary of Mac Y, marked in September 2021. Only 482 bottles were produced.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in a ruby port cask. It is bottled at 55% ABV.
The nose combines sweet peat smoke with rich chocolate cake, fresh oak, rolling tobacco and leather. The palate is smooth and rich, with strawberry, raspberry, shortcake, cocoa, milk chocolate and coffee beans. The finish is long, with summer wine, smoky barbecue sauce and dried dark fruit.
