This is a 12 year old Blair Athol single malt from the Highlands, bottled by Gleann Mór Spirits as part of its Rare Find range. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 56.1%.
The whisky matured in a single first fill ex-bourbon barrel, cask 448, which yielded 205 bottles in natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is buttery shortbread with golden syrup, apple turnovers and crumbled cashews, with white pepper and split vanilla pods. The palate is thick and syrupy, with baked apples, pastry and a dash of tart lemon, then iced buns. The finish stays on brown-sugar apples with a refined oak note.
