This is a single cask Mortlach, 16 years old, bottled by Gleann Mór Spirits for its Rare Find range. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 54.6% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The outturn is 268 bottles of 70cl.
It was matured in a first fill European oak Oloroso sherry hogshead, which brings darker fruit and warming spice to Mortlach's weighty Speyside spirit.
The nose offers vanilla buttercream, toffee, redcurrant jelly, walnuts, gingerbread and milk chocolate. The palate is mouth-coating, with spiced plums, balsamic strawberries, polished oak and orange oils. The finish is long, with fruit oils and rich chocolate.
