Gleann Mór Rare Find Tamdhu 16 Year Old (70cl, 51.7%)

This is a 16-year-old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu, released by Gleann Mór Spirits in its Rare Find range. It was distilled on 10 September 2009 and bottled in 2025 at a cask strength of 51.7%, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was finished for 10 months in a first-fill oloroso sherry hogshead. The medium-char American oak cask had been seasoned for 24 months with oloroso at Bodegas Barbadillo. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, with 216 bottles produced. The nose offers golden syrup, vanilla pod, apple and citrus. The palate is juicy and sweet, with candied orange, milk chocolate, chewy toffee and nutmeg. The finish is warm and sweet.
