This is a 26 year old Highland single malt from Glen Albyn, in Inverness, distilled in 1975 and bottled in May 2002 for the Rare Malts Selection. It is bottled at 54.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with around 6,000 bottles produced.
Glen Albyn closed in 1983.
The nose is typically described as ripe apricot, orange peel, fig and black cherry, with clove, dried sage and charred oak. The palate has toffee and caramelised apple with toasted almond and dark chocolate, and the finish is gently warm with cinnamon and vanilla.
