This is an 11 year old Glen Elgin from Speyside, bottled by Wormtub Whisky at a cask strength of 59.4% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Wormtub Single Cask Collection, a series devoted to Scottish distilleries that still condense their spirit in traditional worm tubs. The whisky matured in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead, which gave 386 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is rich and fruity, with orchard fruit, honeydew melon, oak, orange peel and malt. On the palate, vanilla cream, clove and ginger join baked apple, liquid caramel and candied walnuts. The dense finish recalls fruit cake and sticky toffee pudding, with creamy malt, warm spice and melted chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
