This Glen Garioch was distilled in 1998 and bottled by Thompson Bros at 27 years old. It matured in a first-fill sherry butt, which gave it a rich colour while leaving the Highland character of the spirit intact.
It is bottled at cask strength, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring, from a small outturn.
On the nose there are baked madeleine, pear, kiwi and sultana. The palate has a flinty, mineral edge with sourdough bread, apple and almond.
