Glen Garioch – Angus 1992/2023 31 Year Old Macbeth Elixir Distillers (70cl, 54.6%)

Glen Garioch Angus is a 31-year-old Highland single malt, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2023 at 54.6% ABV. It comes from four first-fill bourbon barrels, and 600 bottles were filled, without added colouring or chill-filtration. It is one of twelve malts chosen by Elixir Distillers to represent the Thanes in Shakespeare's Macbeth. The selection followed character profiles, and each bottle carries artwork by Sir Quentin Blake. More than three decades in American oak have produced a concentrated, full-bodied whisky with notes of panettone, candied peel and banana, in the rich, heavy style of Glen Garioch from the 1990s.
