Glen Garioch – Coilltean 15 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Glen Garioch (Highland). Aged 15 years, bottled at 57% ABV, 70cl. This Coilltean is a Highland malt that is considered very likely to be a Glen Garioch, bottled for Silvano Samaroli by R.W Duthie & Co. Samaroli admitted that he bought too much Glen Garioch of the 1975 vintage and the Coilltean brand was an easy way to give him greater diversity of labels. A historic Highland malt distillery and one of the oldest still operating in Scotland. Established in the heart of Old Meldrum back in 1797, it is today part of the Beam Suntory portfolio and produces a non-peated spirit which is entirely reserved for its single malt brand.
