Glen Grant 15 Year Old Batch Strength is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery in Rothes, bottled at 50% (100 proof) without chill filtration in a 750ml bottle.
It is distilled from malted barley and matured only in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for a minimum of fifteen years. Glen Grant fits its wash and spirit stills with water-cooled purifiers, so that only the lightest vapours pass through.
The nose is fresh, with green apple, ripe melon, sugared lemon and almond cream. The palate opens with white pepper and nutmeg, then dried apricot, toffee and spiced pear. The finish is long, with white pepper, ginger, lemon oil and oak.
