A 70 year old Glen Grant from Speyside, distilled in 1954 and bottled in 2024 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Dram Takers Collection. It matured for seven decades in a refill sherry hogshead and was bottled at 44.1% ABV without added colour. Only 66 bottles were produced, in a Celtic-inspired presentation.
Ripe red fruit, orange and grapefruit meet leather, menthol and tobacco on the nose. The palate offers dark chocolate, spicy oak and pepper alongside concentrated fruit. The finish is very long and dry, with nutty notes, tobacco, leather and old oak.
