Refill sherry hogshead
This Glen Grant was distilled in 1954 and spent seventy years in refill sherry hogshead 1830. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in 2024 at 44.1% as a single cask for The Dram Takers, in an edition of 66 bottles. The label takes its inspiration from the Book of Kells, and its two Dram Takers stand for community and shared enjoyment, the themes of the collection. The whisky is chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose combines dried red fruits and dark sherry with orange and grapefruit zest, leather, tobacco and a cool note of menthol. On the palate it is dry and sherried, with ripe red fruit, dark chocolate, lively citrus, spicy oak, pepper and fine herbs. The finish is long, with leather, tobacco, nuts, light citrus and warming spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
