This is a 57 year old Glen Grant, a Speyside single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1954, matured in a sherry cask and bottled in 2012.
The nose is full of Corinth raisins, prunes, marmalade and chocolate, with sweet summer fruit and old leather. The palate starts peppery, with tropical fruit and a menthol note, and the finish is long with a touch of smoke.
