Glen Grant – 1958/2023 65 Year Old Cask 3818 Mr. George Legacy Fourth Edition (70cl, 56.5%)

A Speyside single malt from Glen Grant, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as the Fourth Edition of the Mr. George Legacy, a tribute to George Urquhart. It comes in a 70cl bottle, presented in a dark brown wooden box. The whisky was distilled on 23 October 1958 and matured for 65 years in cask 3818 until bottling on 1 November 2023. It is bottled at natural cask strength, 56.5% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration. Only 376 bottles exist. The nose brings ripe plums and dark grapes with wax, cinnamon, leather and dark chocolate. The palate has candied orange and cherry, spicy tobacco and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is very long and fruity, with subtle smoke, liquorice and fine clove spice.
