This is a 59 year old Glen Grant from Gordon & MacPhail, released for Chinese New Year 2026 as the Year of the Fire Horse edition. It was distilled on 6 June 1966, the last Fire Horse year, and matured throughout in a refill sherry hogshead, number 3740.
Bottled on 22 October 2025 at a natural cask strength of 51.1% ABV, it is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The hogshead gave 88 bottles.
Tasting notes describe creamy vanilla custard, roasted hazelnuts and lively cinnamon on the nose. The palate has cocoa powder and rich sultanas with warm autumnal spices. The finish is long, with mixed nuts, citrus peel and a mature spice.
