A single cask Glen Grant from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Private Collection series. The whisky was distilled in 1976, matured for 43 years in a refill American hogshead and bottled in 2020.
The outturn is 125 bottles at 42% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose is ripe and fruity, with apples, pears and touches of vanilla and oak. The palate is soft and creamy, with sweet malt, honey and a gentle spice. The finish is long and warm, with fruit and wood in balance.
