This is a 12-year-old Speyside single malt from Glen Grant, distilled in 2013 and matured in a first fill sherry hogshead, number 10026. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in 2026 for its Spirit of Scotland series at a cask strength of 58.9%, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn is 293 bottles, and it is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose shows raisins, red apple and a sharp touch of ginger, with dark fruit. The palate has stewed fruit, blackcurrant jam and a hint of coffee beans, with sherry spice. The finish is long and spicy, with orange peel and fine oak.
