Glen Grant 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Rothes, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It was matured for 25 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, in traditional stone dunnage warehouses, and is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration.
It belongs to the Glasshouse Collection, inspired by the Victorian glasshouse that James "The Major" Grant built in 1886. It was the last release overseen by Master Distiller Dennis Malcolm.
The nose is bright citrus fruits, boiled sweets and hard candy. The palate is velvety, with dark chocolate, orange rind, rich oak and nutmeg, and the finish is warm spice with a faint hint of soft smoke.
