This is a 30 year old Glen Grant from Speyside, bottled by Milroy's of Soho as the Vintage Speyside Reserve in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 25 January 1994, matured in a single bourbon barrel, #10045, and bottled on 4 March 2024 at a cask strength of 57.5%.
Three decades in the barrel are described as bringing out the character of Glen Grant's tall, slender, water-jacketed pot stills.
The nose offers white peach, honeydew melon, vanilla pod and elderflower. The palate brings poached pears, lemon curd, honey and delicate oak spice, leading to a long, silky finish of green apple, toasted coconut and sweet malt.
