Refill American oak hogshead
This is a Glen Grant single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1994 and aged 30 years. Gordon & Macphail bottled it in its Connoisseurs Choice range, from a single refill American oak hogshead. Just 46 bottles were produced, to mark the 130th anniversary of Gordon & Macphail, in a 70cl bottle. The nose opens with subtle leather, vanilla fudge, dried apricot and light citrus, followed by herbal notes. The palate is smooth yet spicy, with ripe red apple, butterscotch and dried tobacco, then cracked black pepper, charred oak and aniseed. In the finish, hints of peach give way to lingering peppermint.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
